I have knocked a couple of things off my list of things to do before the new baby comes, and I just wanted to share. As I was getting on to post today I realized this is my 100th post. So I'm listing that as my first accomplishment. I have actually kept the blog up pretty well, I didn't know if I could do it, but here we are still writing and reading one another's blog entries.
So here they are a few accomplishments...
Things to do before the baby arrives:
1. Transition Cade into a big boy bed.... Check (still working on a smooth nap time, but he is out of his crib)
2. Move Will and Cade into the same room.... Check
3. Come up with a name for the new baby, no suggestions please.
4. Bring Will and Cades baby books and photo albums up to date.... Check
5. Bring in all the baby stuff from the garage
6. Sort and clean all the baby stuff from the garage
7. Finish shopping for the new baby
the list goes on and on, but I tend to be a little bit of a detailed list maker, so for every one's sanity I won't go any farther.
Ok, so 3 out of 7 isn't bad right? You should see the detailed list... YIKES. The baby books and photo albums have taken me forever.... working on them a little here and a little there... but I think I am done...or at least up to date; for now anyways. Now I just need to get the new book and start on it.
Hope you all have a great week.

Footprints in the Sand
I am in total awe everyday of the blessing God has given us. To help me out with Father's Day Uncle Rick and Aunt Nanny met us on the beach and took some family pictures. Every time I start to look at them I am in awe again. I just want to share with you.... and scream from the rooftops how Awesome my God is and a few of the blessings in my life.
This is one of the prayers that runs through my mind daily.
Thank you Lord for our Family!
Thank you for the love we share through Your Name!
Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation.
Please help me to see the beauty in everything around me.
You are an Awesome God.
Amen

I'm a Big Kid Now!
We are making the big transition! William and Cade are now in a room together, and sleeping on their new Bunk beds. William thinks it is great! Cade is not so keen on the change. He loves being in with his brother, but doesn't care for his bed as much. So far they boys have made it two nights without too much trouble, however today was the first nap time that we have had in our new beds. I think I had to return Cade to his bed about seven times in an hours time before he finally went to sleep. William, however, is still wiggling around in his bed, I can hear him over the monitor. Anyways, we are on the first step to getting ready for the new baby. Here is a picture of the boys on their new beds, ignore the curtains, they are changed out now.... and those will go in the nursery:).

We Have a Winner!
We have a winner even though only two people guessed..... IT IS A MATRESS!!! Good Job Jess! They were so compact I was completly surprised when I opened them. We should be getting the bunk beds in today, and hopefully transition Cade into a big bed and William into a new room tomorrow! Yeah!! I'm finally getting some things done so we will be ready for the new baby.

Mommy there is a Duck in our house... and other dumbfounding stories.
This morning while the boys were eating, I had stepped to the bathroom to finish my makeup. William comes into the bathroom hollering, "Mommy there is a Duck in our house" Thinking he is just playing and pretending, my response was, "Did he say Quack, Quack?" With a silly look on his face he thought for a minute said no and walked off. About 15 minutes later, Aunt Nanny had come to watch the boys for a couple of hours while I went to the Dr. and William comes running back into my bedroom and says, "Mommy there is a Rabbit in our house, Come and see! Come and see!" I decided I better play along or this game may never end, so I followed him to the living room to see Cade standing on the fireplace hearth looking behind out TV cabinet pointing and jabbering about something. I figured Cade had thrown a toy back there. Aunt Nanny, jumped to the rescue and stuck her hand behind the TV to find the "toy" and yanked it back just as fast. Sure enough after some searching and flash-lighting there was a live animal in our house.... A baby pigeon. How it got into our house still has me dumbfounded. Our chimney is grated and there are latched glass doors over the fireplace. All we can decide is that it came in when we had the door open???? William must have decided it doesn't quack so it isn't a duck, but it hops so it must be a rabbit.
I have one more dumbfounding story, but I want all of you to give it a guess first. We made some purchases online and received two packages last Wednesday, today I opened them and this is what I found. You have until Friday to leave a comment and guess what is in this package. I put my hand on top so you could have some idea of the size of around. I promise you will be surprised. Kristi, Mom, and Aunt Nanny you are not allowed to guess. Good Luck everyone:)

Our summer so far.
I have not downloaded photos in a while, and realized there are several pictures I wanted to share with everyone.... so enjoy and have a great summer!!
On memorial day, our young couples church group got together at a friends river lot and spent the day hanging out, swimming, eating, and welcoming home a military family. This was a water slide at the river lot, William had to of gone down it a hundred times that day. So Happy belated Memorial Day:).
Week before last we had VBS at church, and while I have no pictures of VBS; I do have a pictures of Cade's reaction to going to VBS. :) YEAH.
This is the tower that Daddy and William built yesterday, Father's Day, didn't they do a great job... however somehow I ended up having to clean up the blocks. :)
For Father's Day dinner we met Uncle Rick and Aunt Nanny at Kobe steakhouse.(hibachi grill) It is one of Michael's favorite restaurants. William was completely intrigued by the chef, but I am wondering if it is because he was wearing a Spider Man hat, or that he was making so much noise. Cade did well and never cried .... not even with the big fire. Cade watching the Hibachi chef.
This was taken about a month ago... sorry again for the delay. We were joining friends at a Hooks baseball game. William and Cade really enjoyed themselves.... and so did we. Aren't they too cute!

This is one of the Hooks mascots... Sammy the Seagull. William was so excited to see him, Cade wasn't too sure.
They have a playground behind the outfield of the park. Here are the boys enjoying the slide. William is such a good big brother!
Well that's about it so far! I'll try to keep up better for the rest of the summer. Have a great one.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day!
Today we all pause to step back to honor and say thank you to all the men we call Father. In our house we did just that. Michael, aka, Daddy was a focus in our family today. From breakfast, to the park, to a movie, to dinner, and watching the NBA finals; it was a day of laughter, smiles, hugs, kisses, and just good family fun. I hope you all enjoyed your Father's Day as well.
I have to stop and say I'm so thankful that God has blessed me with such a loving husband and partner. But even more so on my mind today is the blessing of a wonderful father and leader to guide our growing family of boys. It is so special to watch their eyes light up when he enters a room, and the special way they fit into his loving arms.
But I must say one other father is on my mind today, William summed it all up in a picture that he drew for Daddy this morning. It had four people in it. Daddy in the middle, and William, Cade and Baby Brother to the sides. After he was finished I asked him if their was anything he wanted me to write on it for Daddy, and his response was.... "I want to be like you" . It brought tears to my eyes. The innocents and total commitment that he holds to his Daddy; is exactly what we should all have when it comes to our Heavenly Father. Thank you God for giving us such a wonderful example to follow while trying to serve you our best. I hope this is a message that will stick with us all daily, "Lord, I want to be like you"
We Love you Daddy!!!!!

The Stories
Well for any of you who have been wondering, we are still alive. I'm so sorry I have been so bad about posting, I'm hoping to do a better job in the weeks and months to come.
So here are the stories to what we have been up too.
1. Stomache Bug.... The boys and I were supposed to spend the week in Houston, however after a 3 hours drive and both of the kids vomiting within the first 10 hours were were there, we loaded up the car and came home. So instead of spending the week at the zoo, movies, and playing with friends; we are at home cleaning doing constant laundry and preparing for a great weekend with dad!
2. Funny story about William. William is going through a stage of pretending to be animals. The animal changes frequently, and everyone in the family is included and expected to play along. Yesterday, we were informed that we would be monkies for the day. In the mean time William came out of the bathroom, underwear in hand and sporting a white and shiney hiney. I let him roam for a while thinking he would put them on himself, but that did not happen so eventually said, "William, put that underwear on and cover that bare bottom". He promptly responded with, "Mommy, it's not a bear bottom it's a monkey bottom." :) I thought it was cute.
3. Funny story about Cade. We have talked about my tummy and the baby inside, but it has turned in to him calling everyones tummy a baby. However we still like to ham it up and get him to kiss my "Baby". Today he was sitting on the couch looking at a pregnancy magazine that he had found on the table. Of course the magazine was filled with bare pregnant bellies, and everytime he saw one he would say, "BABY" and then give the picture a kiss. It was so sweet. Hopefully he will love the baby just as much after it comes out:).

Mirror in the tub, who knew?
William has made an amazing discovery! We recently started using the hall bath vs. the master bath for bath time. Which means a new bath tub, and it even has a "mirror". Here is William checking out his silly face in the mirror. That night he also decided it was fun to lay down in the tub and style his hair. I think in this picture he has his "garaging hair" for the garage sale or as he says the garaging sale we were having the next day. I'll try to do better about posting more often... sorry it has been so long.
