Big News!

Well it is true! We are preparing for #3! That's right, I'm pregnant... AGAIN! Boy or Girl... we shall see... But for right now we are just praying for a healthy baby! We are so ecstatic that God has blessed us with another one of his precious children. Praise the Lord... for He is Good!

Santa Baby

This year the Santa Land at the mall is set up as the Polar Express! One of William's favorite movies/books. I think it is because it has a train in it, the only thing that would make it better is if it was the Polar Express Thomas Edition, (right Karen and Diane). Here is William watching the electric train display while waiting his tun to see Santa.
Santa and they boys.... William wanted to touch his beard and told him he would like a train for Christmas. However that is what Santa brought him last year, so this year he may give him something different.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Snap Shots

The boys were playing with some Christmas toys the other day. Just a cute photo opp. Thought I would share:)
William and his friend Abigail goofin around. They were both wearing overalls, so of course Abby or ok maybe it was me just couldn't let it pass.
We are so blessed by our children. William is so sweet in this photo, but I love the look on Cade's face. He just looks so peaceful.

Finding Nemo on Ice

We were able to get tickets to go see Nemo on Ice when they were in town the Friday before Thanksgiving. William was glued to the show the whole time. He never said a word except for what William would call an "unnecessary" 15 minute intermission; at that point we took a brief bathroom break and grabbed the cheapest souvenir we could find which was still a huge rip off :) but it was for a good cause. MY SON! Our souvenir ended up being a bag of cotton candy that came with a foam hat in the shape of Nemo. We got back to our seats and opened the cotton candy and I gave a piece to William, and Michael and I both took a piece for ourselves. William examined his piece of fluff and watched Michael and I take a few bites; He then looked at me and said, "Mommy, Is this food?" . I told his it was candy, sugar, yummy, taste it.... but he was not about to put that in his mouth. Who knew I had such a sceptic. :) So Michael and I put it away and we finished it off the next day. Below are a few shots from the show. It was very cute.

I got to meet Mickey Mouse

Finding Nemo on Ice is in town this weekend, so in Lu of all the festivities Mickey and Minnie came to the aquarium for a photo opp. William loved it. Here are a few pictures. William is looking at a spider, this is one of his favorite things to look at.
The Dolphin Tank. Cade was amazed.
The Whale Tale fountain. A big hit.

Here is Scuba Mickey and Scuba Minnie! William loved it! He wanted to sing Mickey a song, but we didn't have enought time.

Twister Meal Time

I have decided that Cade is trying invent a new game... Twister, Meal Time Edition. This is Cades favorite position to eat.. Backwards, while turning around only to pick up another bite and then it is back again. Maybe they should make a high chair with a tray on both sides.

Halloween

Well here we are finally. Our halloween pics. Since Halloween fell on a Wednesday, we didn't do much trick or treating. But we did go to the big fall festival at our church the previous Saturday night. Here we are .... William is a baseball player, Mommy is the Coach, Daddy is the Fanatic, and Cade is non other than the baseball.... :). I thought it was a cute idea.
Michael trying to make a scarry face. :)

William the Baker

William and Mommy made a special Halloween cake on Thursday night. It is a chocolate cake with snicker bar filling, and chocolate icing. The decorations are spiders and bugs made of various kinds of candy. William was so proud of his cake. Since he couldn't eat that cake, until Saturday, I let him decorate the extra cake pieces that I had to trim off. He did it all on his own. And got to eat it too. He did decide to share a small piece to a neighbor. :) I hope she enjoyed it as much as he did. The first two pictures are of the cake we decorated together. The last one is Williams special cake.

Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday, our playgroup met at a local pumpkin patch. We had story time, picture opps, and William and I hunted for the largest pumpkin for our upcoming Halloween party. And we found a big one. Good times. :)

Emergency Pics.

Here are a few pictures of William at the Emergency Room from his accident on Tuesday. We thought it was ironic that he was sitting in the emergency room, playing with a toy ambulance. HMMM.

E.R. Excitement!

About 5:30 last night William was getting into a chair at our kitchen table and missed. This one simple event had a whole night of excitement to follow. William had hit the back of his head on a windowseat behind our table, and the screaming and the blood followed. Although, not nearly as much blood as screaming. A friend took Cade for a little while and we took William to a Minor Emergency Center that is not far from our house. The nurse took one look and said, "He definatly needs soochers, but you should take him to Driscoll Urgent Care, they are much better suited to handle kids..." . So out the door we went and rushed across town. We get there wait for a short time for the Dr. and here is what he said"...I think we should let it heal on it's own. There will be a scar, however it is not worth the trama of stiches." What a relief! William, of course after the initial crying, was a very big boy on the ride and for the Dr's.

Will the Tool Man Caldwell

I know this is a lot of posts for one day but I wanted to catch up with all the fun things I have caught on camera. My Parents came to visit this weekend. We had a good time, but this was one of the funniest projects of the weekend. Grandad brought William a kid sized tool set. complete with suspenders, tool belt, goggles, hard hat, and miniature yet real tools. :) I thought this was too cute. Here are William and Grandad working on a growth chart. I'll try to get a picture of it up in the next couple of days. Enjoy!

Observation.

William has proven time and time again that he intensely observes and studies his surroundings. So here is a perfect example. We have a volunteer fire department at the end of our neighborhood, that we drive by several times a week. As most of you know emergency vehicles back in to their garages and parking spots so they can get out faster. William is also obsessive about parking his cars. I am constantly finding groupings around the house of cars lined up and placed just so. This is what I found watching William play the other day.
Notice all the emergency vehicles are turned around backwards. I asked him why and he just looked at me, and bluntly said.... "because fire engines back in Mommy." All I could do was laugh.

New Independence

Cade is now a table food eater. He is still getting some baby food, but is doing well at "gumming" all that steak, potatoes, and especially green beans! I'm sure that will disappear in about a year. It did with his big brother:). Lunch today was the first meal that he has eaten enough food all by himself that he didn't need any additional baby food. He is so fun to watch eat.

A funny fact: When Cade is eating with his right hand he grasps his food with his thumb and forefinger. When he is using his left hand he grasps with his fist and puts food in his mouth with his two middle fingers, the one's he sucks. :) It is too funny.

Anatomy 101

Disclaimer: NO ANIMALS WERE HURT IN THE SHOOTING OF THESE PHOTOS!!

Yesterday was our third young couples/young families get together at a local park. We have had quite a bit of rain this year and due to that and the nice shade we found it seemed to be a perfect home for frogs. William and his friend MaryMae found quite a few and decided to play with them. Here they are with them laid out like they are about to give us a science lesson.

Notice all the frogs on the ground around them. I think there were close to 15 frogs collected in all.

Abby-Gail.

This is Abigail. She is the daughter of our preacher... 5 years old, and the love of Williams life (he goes for the older women). J/K. Ok, maybe not the love of his life, but good friend. William loves to play with her, and cries every time she leaves our house, but the best is listening to him talk to her. Every sentence starts with her name, and every syllable is pronounced. So instead of Abigail it is Abby-Gail. "Abby-Gail do you want to swim?" , or "Abby-Gail are you hungry?", or "Abby-Gail look at my truck." It is really just to sweet. And she is so sweet to understand that he is wanting her attention and always give him the attention that he is wanting. They are good friends.
Here they are on Friday playing in the backyard. Cade had fun too, but mostly stuck to the mud or should I say the mud stuck to him.

Twinkies.

Ok, here is the deal. I absolutely love to dress the boys the same. I think it is too cute and I know I will only be able to do it for a few years, so I'm taking full advantage of it now! Aren't they cute? William and Cade absolutely love to play in the windows. I'm sure they are wishing to be outside. There favorite place to play. I thought this picture was precious.
