Why Cup of Daisies?

Why Cup of Daisies you ask?

A poem in the book titled, "Cup Of Daisies: Poetry and Paintings" by Kenneth Wyatt; took my breath, and at once I knew this was to be the basis of my heart and outpouring in my blog.  Please enjoy.

Cup of Daisies
by:Kenneth Wyatt

Today on the street in the old part of town.
I spied an ol' beggar with head hung down.

Gloom was his partner - it was plain to be seen.
And the clothes that he wore would never be clean.

Holes in the elbows, the knees, and the seat,
There were two kinds of shoes that misfit his feet.

The frown was frozen on the face that was lined,
Plus a long clack rag round his eyes that were blind.

No glimmer of hope 'bout the man could I see,
Not even in the hand he reached out to me.

The old tin cup caught the sun on its rim;
Its emptiness showed that pickins were slim.

Into that cup I dripped a coin or two,
Catching a mumble of a grumpy "thank you."

That would have been all of the story that time
'Bout me and a beggar and a nickel and dime,

But fate stepped up with his bag full of tricks,
For up the street a lady strolled a lady of six.

With face all aglow, blue eyes shining bright,
Dressed all starched and ironed just right,

Ribbons reached down in circles and swirls,
A crown of daisies entwined in her curls.

Happiness abounded - in life not a care-
Her eye then touched on the beggar out there.

Young hearts melt fast, and then, so to do,
From her hair she pulled a white daisy or two.

Softly she placed them in the battered tim cup;
Instantly the old beggar's head lifted up.

Though blind in darknes, I knew he could see
That child standing there in full sympathy.

She patted the gnarled hand, not making a sound.
From the faded black rag, a tear splashed down.

They parted then - now their hearts were as one-
But the truth was clear with what had been done.

The cup rattled louder; it had a new sound.
I walked away with something I'd found.

Let me say it so you'll recall it sometime,
"The love that she gave...beat a nickel and dime."

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature ; rather, serve one another in love.  Galatians 5:13
"But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."  Luke 18:16

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  Hebrews 13:5

Routines

So, between summer (lack of) routine, busy days (no naptimes), and  the move; I have been managing to stay up way too late and then I just can't get up in the mornings... Anyone else have this problem?  I am so busy being mommy during the day, and my house is so crazy loud, that I'm not able to get much done as far as writing, working,  or Thirty-one...  until oh sometime between 10:30 pm and 1:00 am.  But I have to find a better routine! So here is to another late night, and another morning that is going to come way too early! :) Goodnight. ~Cup of Daisies

Williams Comic Books:

(William, 6 years old, wants to be a comic book illustrator and writer when he grows up. He practices drawing/tracing/copying his favorite comic characters and stories daily. William used his Fisher-Price camera, took pictures of his drawings, and asked me to download them on here for everyone to see.  He then gave me all the dialog of the comic... so I'm not promising grammer or typing perfection... enjoy everyone! This is all William! )

This is a big clean up job. Even for big guys like us. "Hey, where is Bumble Bee?", said Bunkhead. "Isn't he supposed to be helping too?", asked Optimus Prime.
Elsewhere at Sumdak Tower. "Isn't it time that you just do something?" says Dr. Sumdak. "Why is the point that your dad is missing?". "No he's my dad and if I were missing he would do the same thing for me", Said Sari.
"Ok boss lady. but you might want to take a look at this." says Bumble Bee.  "Hold my calls, I need a break." says Sari.
"Did you guys see that?" says Prowl. "It's kind of hard to miss," says Ratchet. "Autobots transform and roll out", says Optimus Prime.
The Autobots race to downtown detour. VROOM!
The ship crashes in the park. "Robots!?  why does it have to be robots?" says the army captain.
"No captain. Make your men stand down.  Let us handle this" says Optimus Prime. The main hatchet opens at the bottom of the ship.
The Autobots line up to meet their commander come off the ship. Ultra Magnus, Centinal Prime, and Jazz all come out of the ship. "Jazz, put a force field around the ship to protect it from the humans." said Ultra Magnus.
"Commander, we have just started cleaning up after battling Megatron and the Decepticons", said Optimus Prime.
"Come on Bumble Bee", Says Bulkhead. They get closer to the ship before Jazz cuts them off with the force field.
Somewhere deep, close to the river. "And so I will sneak attack cyberton" says Megatron. "What do you need me for Megatron, I'm a bounty hunter, not a mercenary fighter," says Lockdown. "I've got quite a bounty for you, Lockdown. I need you to capture one of the Autobots' space bridges." says Megatron.
"Now you are talking my programming language, Lockdown out".  Back at the Auto bots secret headquarters, Since someone took sari's home away, the Auto bots let her live in the secret headquarters with them.
After that the Auto bots went back to the meeting of the all spark. "What the all spark is destroyed?!?", Ultra Magnus, Centinel Prime, and Jazz yell together.
"Not completely destroyed, just part of his energy was destroyed,"says Optimus Prime. "Why don't you stand up for yourself big guy?"says Bulkhead. "Because he knows his place." says Centinal Prime.  "How about I put you in your place?" says Bulkhead.
"Why do we hide here like mole rats?" says Lug nut.  There is a sound patrol machine so we don't have to worry about the Auto bots, "says Mega tron.
"That sounds crazy, even to me!" says the guy that is two vehicles.
That night, the Auto bots search for the new Decepticon, but it isn't a Decepticon it's a robot body with a human controlling it. "Well, I felt that. It hurt!" says Centinal Prime. "I wasn't trying to tear apart your body, I was trying to keep your body from putting the shield spikes in my face." says Optimus Prime.
A few minutes later... In the Auto bots secret headquarters. "Arn't you  guys tearing stuff up?" says Prowl. "No, we are trying to make Sari happy, but on accident we are not trying to make stuff worse, but we are." says Bumble Bee.
Optimus Prime, beats the headmasters robot and hits him in the head with the battle ax.

THE END!

You Made It!! Seasons of Change.

Well, If you are reading this I'm assuming you made the change. I'm going to encourage you to please take the time to update/change any links you may have to my previous blogs, it will be deleted eventually. and subscribe to the RSS feed... (meaning you will be emailed any new posts from Cup of Daisies)

So go ahead...  Take your time... I'll wait....  You almost done?  Last chance..... ok moving on

With the change of seasons, also came a change for me personally. I have faced a few crossroads over the past several months, and recently decided to give in to God's new direction in my life (always better if you do this in the first place)and embrace the love I have for writing. No, I'm not talking about a book, or even anything professional (YET), but to make the time during the day to come here and share my experiences, thoughts, and heart. So I am making a commitment to myself and to you that I will be updating more! Some updates you will like, some you won't, some you will probably start to think I've lost my mind (and secretly I'm probably thinking the same thing).  But please take the time to comment, it does mean so much to me and helps me to stay motivated,  Just let me know what you think, or share some of your similar or non similar thoughts. Even a comment of something you would like me to write about would be great!

Also in this season of change,  I was accepted to be a food contributor for BlissfullyDomestic.com and have already begun to submit some of my cooking experiments. Be looking for them here if you wish. I  feel it a great honor to have this opportunity, and hope that it will lead to a fun new adventure with many new friends.

I also want to quickly point out a few new things on my blog... One the buttons across the top. The first three won't change much, but "Sites I Love" will be updated regularly with sites I use for shopping, homeschooling, inspiration, or just keeping up with good friends.  You will always be able to find a link to Blissfully Domestic there.  I  have also added some store links, Amazon and Google. Please feel free to access Amazon by way of my blog, I assure you it will be appreciated.

Anyways, I guess that is it for now. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
