Best Friends!
What Hair?
Well I have been growing my hair for about 19 months and I finally chopped it off the other day. I was so glad and surprised to know that I did actually have enough to donate to Locks of Love. What a great cause. http://www.locksoflove.org/
Wildflowers!
I absolutely love the wildflowers in Texas. It is so amazing to look around our neighborhood and see all the proof of my GOD's amazing power and imagination! After the drought last year, it was so nice to get several spring rains and see the blooms go crazy! (a little rough on the allergies though) We did a wildflower lesson with the kids one morning... it was so much fun, although I will say, I can do anything with this group of kids and have fun. I think I learned just as much as the kids did.

Brennan is a mess!
Well, I'm so far behind I'm not even going to attempt to play catch up on the blog. But I have been missing writing and sharing with our family and friends, so I'm saying goodbye to facebook (for the most part) and hello again blog! First I will start with our sweet Brennan. He is quite a mess!!! And I mean this in the most literal sense possible. Brennan is my little buddy. He is always by my side, or in my arms. He brings so much life into our house (not that we were lacking). But I don't know what we would do with out him.
Brennan does not like Chocolate! So what better to do with chocolate ice cream that you have no intention to eat?
Oh Yeah, That's right, smear it over everything!!!! EVERYTHING!!!
Brennan is quite a dare devil. Always taking spills and having quite the booboo's and bruises.
Luckily, these booboo's washed right off. :)

Great Summer Recipe
We love this recipe... it is delicious, simple, and very pretty. Great for cookouts, picnics, and summer celebrations.
Summer Fruit Salad
You judge how much of each you want depending on the size of your salad. Sorry about the lack of measurements, but you can judge all to taste.
Watermelon (chunks)
Raspberries
Blackberries
Blueberries
Strawberries (quartered)
Fresh Pineapple (chunks)
Place in a large bowl.
Finely chop about 7 mint leaves and place to side.
Make a simple syrup (1 part water 1/2 cup , 2 parts sugar, 1 cup) Bring to a boil, toss in mint leaves and boil for one minute. Careful not to burn syrup, stir constantly.
remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Pour over fruit to taste. (store any leftover syrup for quick salads or snacks) Toss and serve or chill until serving time. :)
Enjoy a fresh fruity treat!

Happy Easter!
I hope you all had a wonderful day Celebrating the Gift of Salvation! God has been and continues to be so good to our Family. We were a little down with allergies for most of Sunday, but did manage to squeeze in a little egg hunting. :)
And in Case you noticed and were wondering.... yep. We got a puppy... She found us at the park last Monday and I just couldn't leaver her there. A week later we decided to call her ours. Her name is Sally.
Our sweet warrior, William Luke. 5 years old.
